“1163 Lincroft Drive: Before and After” depicts objects in an Indiana home before (left) and after (right) it was staged. Home staging is a method of preparing a home for sale on the real estate market. The practice—which often involves painting walls, removing personal items, and rearranging furniture in order to anonymize a space—rose to prominence after the 2008 housing crisis. The photos in the video are cropped versions of original images provided to me by a professional home stager.
